Jump Cut, an evening of songs generated from Prospect Musicals' 2025 Musical Theater Lab, will be presented February 20 at 7:30 PM at Symphony Space in the Peter J. Sharp Theater.
Prospect's annual Musical Theater Lab brings together writing teams selected through an open application to create short musicals in response to a curated assignment. This year's lab has a central theme of time. Each writing team randomly selected a length of time to “jump cut” as an inspiration for their piece.

Carlin; Antonio Del Valle; Danielle Koenig and Asher Muldoon; Andy Li and Jillian Ohayon; April Dae Okpwae; Sarah Rossman & Sequoia Sellinger; and Joël René Scoville and Ammon Taylor.
Performing their work will be Karl Amundson, Grammy nominee Saint Aubyn (Ain’t Too Proud), Jennifer Blood (Girl From The North Country), Genesis Adelia Collado, Jeffrey Cornelius (Dear Evan Hansen), Ben Diamond, Sarah Anne Fernandez (Wicked), Vidushi Goyal (That Parenting Musical), Jordan Aaron Hall (Matilda), Sarah Hogewood, Leslie Jackson (Caroline, Or Change), Danté Jeanfelix (The Tempest), Gabriella Joy (The Color Purple), Jayson Kerr (Evita), Claudia Logan, Jesse Manocherian, Andrew Mayer (The Great Comet), Miyuki Miyagi, Emily Kristen Morris (Wicked), Nasir Ali Panjwani (Monsoon Wedding), Diane Phelan (Into the Woods), Senna Prasatthong, Heath Saunders (Company), Obie winner Nora Schell (Cats: "The Jellicle Ball"), Evie Schuckman, DeMone Seraphin, and Akron Lanier Watson (The Color Purple).
