Grammy nominee Charli XCX served as both host and musical guest for the November 16 airing.

Playbill made an appearance in a sketch from the November 16 airing of Saturday Night Live, set in the aftermath of a performance of Shrek the Musical. The scene follows five friends who are eager to get their post-show Domino's, but Leilani (played by Grammy nominee Charli XCX, who served as both host and musical guest) holds up the group by getting intimate with Shrek himself.

Watch the bawdy sketch in the video above, featuring cast members Bowen Yang (who plays Pfannee in the upcoming Wicked film), Sarah Sherman, Ego Nwodim, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow.

SNL has aired a few other musical theatre sketches in recent episodes, including a series of Broadway parody numbers set in a Port Authority Bus Terminal Duane Reade, Jake Gyllenhaal starring in a rewritten "Beautiful Girls" from Follies, and a performance from Yang and Wicked cast mate Ariana Grande as Moulin Rouge's Christian and Satine. Perhaps coincidentally, the Shrek non-union national tour is running now in a new, revised production.
