Vineyard Theatre has announced the creative team for its upcoming production of Age is a Feeling, penned by Haley McGee (The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale), who also stars. The limited engagement will run September 11-October 13 at the Off-Broadway company, with an official opening set for September 22.
Age is a Feeling will be directed by Mitchell Cushman (Jerusalem, The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale), with original direction and dramaturgy by the late Adam Brace (Just for Us).
The production will feature scenic design by Zoë Hurwitz (Tomorrow Will Take Care of Itself), lighting design by Daniel Carter-Brennan (One Woman Show), and sound design by Robert Moutrey (Mary’s Daughters).
McGee's solo show, inspired by hospices, mystics, and trips to the cemetery, charts the seminal moments of an adult life from turning 25 to death, and celebrates the unknowability of human life.
The work premiered at the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it won the Fringe First Award, before transferring to London's Soho Theatre for two sold-out runs.
Age is a Feeling is produced in association with Alchemation.
