Video Watch Nikki Renée Daniels Sing ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ From Her Upcoming New York Pops Concert

The November 18 event will also feature Jordan Donica, Matt Doyle, and Melissa Errico.

Nikki Renée Daniels is channeling Fantine again. Last seen on Broadway in Company, Daniels recently stopped by the Playbill Studio to share an exclusive performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables, with Steven Reineke at the piano. Watch the video above.

Daniels played Fantine in the 2006 Broadway revival of Les Miz, where she was the understudy for the role. The dramatic ballad will be prominently featured in a November 18 concert with the New York Pops Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, titled "Broadway Blockbusters."

Joining Daniels for the evening will be some of her friends: Jordan Donica (My Fair Lady, the upcoming Camelot revival), Matt Doyle (Company), and Melissa Errico (Oliver!). The evening will feature works by Leonard Bernstein, Alan Menken, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more.

But Daniels is not the only Broadway artist performing at Carnegie Hall this season. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree will feature Ingrid Michaelson (of the Broadway-bound The Notebook musical) performing carols and holiday tunes with Essential Voices USA December 16. The artist will present original songs and her holiday album Songs for the Season the following evening December 17 in Winter Song: A Holiday Evening with Ingrid Michaelson.

Tony-winner Heather Headley (Aida, The Color Purple) will join the New York Pops February 10, 2023, performing highlights from her career—led by Pops music director and conductor Steven Reineke.

Marilyn Maye will star in The Marvelous Marilyn Maye March 24, with the cabaret icon set to perform a program including musical theatre classics.
