The West End's Pretty Woman: The Musical has a new leading man. Oliver Tompsett (& JulietKinky Boots) now stars as Edward Lewis in the production at the Savoy Theatre. Tompsett will play the role through June 18.

Tompsett took over the role from Danny Mac who departed April 2. Starring opposite Aimie Atkinson as Vivian Ward, he is also joined in the cast by Courtney Bowman, Andy Barke, John Addison, Jemma Alexander, Becky Anderson, Matt Bateman, Patrick Barrett, Robertina Bonano, Oliver Brenin, Alex Charles, Daniel Clift, Ben Darcy, Hannah Ducharme, Elishia Edwards, Tom Andrew Hargreaves, Antony Hewitt, Helen Hill, Mark Holden, Elly Jay, Matt Jones, Kurt Kansley, Georgia Kleopa, Annabelle Laing, Will Luckett, Curtis Patrick, Hassun Sharif, Cilla Silvia, and Charlotte Elisabeth Yorke.

The musical is helmed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, is based on the romantic comedy film and features a book by Garry Marshall and the film’s screenwriter J.F. Lawton. It also features original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, and Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s hit song "Oh, Pretty Woman" which inspired the film.

The production features scenic design by David Rockwell, costumes by Tom Rogers from the original Broadway designs by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke. 101 Productions, Ltd are the Global General Management Consultant.

Following its London run, the production will embark on the previously announced U.K. and Ireland tour with casting yet to be announced. Pretty Woman: The Musical originally made its world premiere in Chicago in 2018, and subsequently transferred to Broadway. It opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in March 2020 before it reopened at The Savoy Theatre in July 2021, and has also had a German production in Hamburg and a United States tour.
