After debuting in Ireland, Where Eagles Fly - The Musical is set to make a US premiere in Philadelphia. The new musical will run September 26-October 6, 2024 at the Miller Theater. Opening night is set for September 27, with proceeds from the performance to benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation.
Inspired by the story of Irish and Scots-Irish settlement in Philadelphia, Where Eagles Fly is composed by John Anderson. The cast features Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones, Derry Girls) as the narrator.
“The quest for a better life is a universal urge, a deeply rooted human value we all share," Anderson said in a statement. "The story of the Irish is a universal story that unites us all.”
Anderson is also co-producing the show, alongside Diane McGraw, lead producer Michael Durkan, and executive producer Trevor Marshall.
