NOTE: Highly experienced actors who may well exceed the age of the characters are encouraged to audition. LUCKY – Male-Presenting, Bari-tenor, Mid 20s to Early 30s. A charming sailor who used to date Joan. He is in the Navy with DICK working underneath THE CAPTAIN. Excellent tap dancer.

HENNESSEY/THE CAPTAIN – Male-Presenting, Baritone, Mid 40s to Early 50s. Solid tap dancer. HENNESSEY: He is overworked, over budget, and at his wit’s end. CAPTAIN: He is DICK and LUCKY's boss who is also Mona's former lover from Pensacola.

Well... suppose Robert turns up not realizing quite why he has been invited. Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers, and consequently determined that Jacqueline will NOT leave for the weekend. Suppose the cook has to pretend to be the mistress and the mistress can't cook. Suppose everyone's alibi gets confused with everyone else's.
