SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in RAPUNZEL AND HER HOLIDAY WISH and PETER PAN AND TINKERBELL, A PIRATES CHRISTMAS (see breakdown).

Based on the classic fairytales, our shows are set to modern music and written in the style of a British Panto (Think Peter Pan Goes Wrong).

No roles will be understudied.

PREPARATION
Please prepare a brief contemporary musical theatre song and/or pop song that shows off your voice and range, appropriate to the role you are auditioning for in the show. If asked, please also have ready an additional 16-bars of a different song. Bring sheet music, accompanist will be provided. All must bring a hardcopy headshot/ resume.

BREAKDOWN

RAPUNZEL AND HER HOLIDAY WISH
(all race/ ethnicities for all roles)

Rapunzel - (Female identifying, 18+ to play 18, Mezzo-Soprano) Rapunzel is the adventurous, optimistic heroine of our story. Despite being trapped in a tower, she is curious about the outside world and dreams of freedom. Strong singer, with a focus on conveying both innocence and strength.

Prince Sebastian - (Male identifying, 18-35, Tenor/Baritone) Charming, brave, and occasionally a bit overconfident, Prince Sebastian is Rapunzel’s rescuer. A classic panto prince, he sings and has strong comedic timing. Experience with physical comedy a plus. Strong pop voice.

Simple Simon - (Male identifying, 18-35, Comedy role) Prince Sebastian’s sidekick, Simple Simon is well-meaning but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He’s clumsy, funny, and always gets into trouble. Has excellent comedic timing and ability to interact with the audience in true Panto style. Improv comedy chops a plus!

Mother Gothel - (Female Identifying, 30+, Alto/Mezzo-Soprano. THIS ROLE IS CAST) The wicked villain of the story, Gothel is manipulative, vain, and ruthless. She keeps Rapunzel locked in the tower to maintain her youth. A larger-than-life role that requires strong vocals and stage presence. Must be able to engage in playful villainy with the audience.

Sniville (Gothel’s Henchman) - (Male Identifying, 18+, Tenor/Baritone, Character role) Sniville is Gothel’s bumbling sidekick. He’s sneaky, clumsy, and often the butt of the joke. Great comedic timing and physical comedy required. This role will involve a lot of interaction with the Dame and other characters. Must Sing.

Dame Bouffant (Any Gender, 30+, Comedy role, Singer) Dame Bouffant is the local hairdresser, full of energy, sass, and humor. They have great comedic timing, the ability to engage with the audience, and strong singing abilities. This is the fun, larger-than-life character of the show and will be a big crowd favorite. Must Sing. Actors of all genders are encouraged to audition for this role.

PETER PAN AND TINKER BELL, A PIRATES CHRISTMAS
(all race/ethnicities for all roles)

[PETER PAN] Male Identifying, 18+ to play 14-18, height 5'10 or under. Clever, adventurous, and confident leader of The Lost Boys. Self-Centered yet caring and joyous. Desires to stay a child forever however his relationship with Wendy forces him to face new emotions. Captain Hook is his arch nemesis. Actor must be able to convey the complexity of the character and command the stage. Excellent singer and actor, agile mover and unafraid to fly. Pop Vocal sensibility

[WENDY] Female Identifying, 18+ to play 13-18. On the verge of adolescence. Pleasant and charming girl who takes the role of ''Mother'' to The Lost Boys. Meeting Peter awakens romantic and adventurous feelings in her. A strong pop singer.

[TINKER BELL] Female Identifying, Age between 18-30, height 5'4 and under. Petite, feisty, beautiful, vibrant, spirited fairy. She is Peter Pan's sidekick and is deeply in love with Peter and extremely jealous of Wendy. Has a strong pop singing voice (belt). Dance and the ability to roller-skate are a huge plus.

[CAPTAIN HOOK/MR. DARLING] (This role is CAST) Male Identifying, Age 40-60. Captain Hook is a classic villain with a comedic flair. Peter Pan's nemesis, he is jealous of Peter's confidence and charisma. Outwardly strong and tries to be menacing, however underneath is a weak and vulnerable coward. Has great comedic timing, audience must love to hate him, drives the show, able to interact with audience, has a good singing voice. Has good agility for stage combat. Mr. Darling is the stern but loving father of Wendy, Michael and John.

[SMEE] Male Identifying, Age 30-50s. Captain Hook's bumbling right hand man. He is a jovial, simple and lovable sidekick. Extremely comfortable with improv and interacting with the audience. Strong comedic character. Direct contrast to Hook in appearance and physical stature. Able to move. Excellent comedic abilities. Singing a plus but not necessary for role.

[TIGER LILY] Female Identifying, Age 18-30. The beautiful princess. Tiger Lily is brave, flirtatious, coy, tough and self-confident in contrast to Wendy's demure demeanor. An excellent dancer. Singing a plus.
