OPEN CALL AUDITION NOTICE
Epoch Tribe is casting two Black woman actors for an upcoming spring production in
Nashville, TN.
About Epoch Tribe
Epoch Tribe is a Black woman-owned theater production company whose work is rooted in
the Black cultural storytelling tradition. We write and produce monologue driven shows
based on the narratives of real people.
Casting Information
We are seeking:
● Black women who appear ages 30-50, Age 18+
● Previous stage acting experience is required, references will be requested
● Comfort with coordinated movement is required
● Singing ability is a plus, but not required
● Must have the ability to memorize monologues up to 7 minutes in duration
● Actors must reside in or around the Nashville area. Compensation will not be provided
for travel time or mileage.
● We are looking for actors with passion and a commitment to excellence who can take
a story to the next level.
Production & Rehearsal Information
● The production is non-union.
● Virtual rehearsals will take place in December and January 2025.
● In-person rehearsals will begin in late January/February 2024 through April 2025.
● Rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Thursdays from 6pm - 9 pm.
Performance Information
● The performance is one night only, on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at TPAC’s Polk Theater.
● Performers will need to be available for all call rehearsals and tech rehearsals during
the day and evening from Tuesday, April 15th - Friday April 18th, 2025.
Pay
● Actors will be paid a lump sum stipend for rehearsals and performance. Payments will
be made at milestones through the rehearsal process with a final payment on the day
of the show.
● Payments will be made electronically.
Audition Information
We will accept submissions and then send invitations to in-person callbacks in Nashville.

○ Reel or video of a 2-4 minute monologue performance
○ Singing reel or video of a 1 minute vocal performance.
