Each student will get a full work session with Ben to focus on a 32 bar/90 second cut of their choosing. You will have the chance to apply his adjustments and perform your cut again. BEN's BIO!
Ben will music direct and conduct the upcoming DEATH BECOMES HER on Broadway.
Ben recently conducted TICK, TICK…BOOM at the Kennedy Center in DC. Last Fall, Ben was the Music Director and Conductor for ONCE UPON A ONE MORE TIME on Broadway. Previously, Ben was the Music Director, Conductor, and Associate Music Supervisor for the Grammy, Tony, and Oliver award winning DEAR EVAN HANSEN worldwide. He was also the Vocal Supervisor and Pianist for the motion picture.
He was also the Assistant Conductor and Pianist for WICKED on Broadway. Ben has performed all over the country as Music Director for Clay Aiken and Stephanie J. Block. He has worked with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruben Studdard, Dolly Parton, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe, and many others.
His arrangements and orchestrations have been heard on TV, albums, concerts, theme parks and cruise lines. Ben is a graduate of Ithaca college and New York University. He lives in NYC with his husband and son.
