Position Summary
Reporting to the Technical Director, this seasonal position is responsible for the construction, load in, maintenance, and strike of scenic elements required for a production.

Responsibilities
 Woodworking
 Metalworking, (MIG welding capability a plus)
 Fabrication and assembly of scenic elements
 Installation, repair and strike of scenery
 May occasionally be asked to be part of an event or production’s run crew, where applicable
 Other reasonable duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies
 1-3 years experience with theatrical carpentry and construction
 Knowledge of theatrical rigging
 Ability to read hand-drafted and CAD illustrated technical drawings
 Willingness to adhere to deadlines
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 Ability to follow scene shop safety protocols per industry safety standards
 Comfortable working at heights, including loading weight from a fly loft
 Must be comfortable working in bucket and scissor lifts
 Ability to climb and work from ladders
 Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally

Compensation
This is a seasonal, nonexempt position earning $19.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week for the duration of the engagement, in addition to 401k, Medical and Vision insurance plans, and paid sick time and 3 floating holidays.
