Play Overview
It's September 2024, aka the end of Brat Summer. Cameron and Jules, a queer couple in their 20s, have to evacuate their building. As they spend the day out and about with their cats, their relationship is tested and secrets come to light. This witty, heartfelt and poignant piece explores what it means to be in a committed queer relationship months before a terrifying election.

Cameron: 24, any pronouns, a customer service rep. Wears their heart on their sleeve, Jules' partner of three years.
Jules: 24, any pronouns, a server at a resturant. A straight shooter who is very dedicated, Cameron's partner of three years.

Submission Requirements

-A 1-2 minute contemporary monologue that you feel showcases your artistic stengths and ability to be part of this production
-Tell us where you're based and your general availability for rehearsals from April 7th-May 4th. You MUST be available all day May 4th- please confirm this in the email.
-Zoom callbacks will be held on April 5th and 6th. Please let us know your avaibility for these days
-Please include "With the Lights Out Submission" in the subject line of the email
-Do include any questions you may have
