Barrington Stage Company's Musical Theatre Conservatory is going tuition free in 2024 thanks to underwriting from The Zelda and John Schwebel Family Foundation.

The eight-week training program will invite 12 college-level musical theatre students to the Massachusetts theatre on a full scholarship, with a limited amount of need-based stipends to help with additional living expenses.

The program gives students a chance to observe, meet, and work with the artists working on Barrington productions throughout the summer. Recent guests who had met with participants have included Katie Spelman, Arbender Robinson, Michael Kushner, Candis C. Jones, Jason Danieley, Teri Ralston, Mark H. Dold, Alan H. Green, Joe Iconis, Pat McCorkle, Michael Cassara, Holly Buczek, and more.

Candidates must demonstrate strong musical theatre skills and be at least one year into a University-level training program. The program also has a minimum age requirement of 19.

Those interested can apply at BSCEducation.org. Applications will be accepted through April 12.
