The upcoming Off-Broadway return of Sean Daniels' autobiographical comedy The White Chip has added Crystal Dickinson (Clybourne Park) and Jason Tam (A Chorus Line) to the cast, joining the previously announced Joe Tapper.

The production has also added some celebs to its already A-list producing team, with Hank Azaria, Jason Biggs, and Edie Falco joining the previously announced John Larroquette, current Sweeney Todd star (and Tapper's wife) Annaleigh Ashford, recovery activist and writer Ryan Hampton, and The Recovery Project. Additional new producers include John Beyer, Linda Karns, Nick Mills, and Barbara Manocherian.

"We are so happy to welcome new producers and cast members to our production of Sean’s essential, life-saving play," says Ashford in a statement. "Hank, Jason, and Edie, all extraordinary artists, have so selflessly shared their stories of recovery with the public, so to have them join us in amplifying this play is a true honor. We are over the moon, too, that Crystal and Jason—both powerhouse talents—will join Joe onstage. We feel so lucky!"

The revival is set to play Off-Broadway's Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater in The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space beginning January 22, 2024, ahead of a February 1 opening night. Sheryl Kaller is back to direct after staging the work's 2019 Off-Broadway premiere. Though performing at MCC's venue, the run is not an MCC production.

Tapper is also reprising his performance as Steven, on top of the world and steps away from his dream job running one of the most exciting theatres in the country but also an alcoholic spinning out of control. The play follows his life from first sip to first love and all the way to rock bottom, where he begins his wild journey to recovery.

The work played Off-Broadway in 2019 at 59E59 Theaters. The upcoming production will be a new staging, with a creative team to be announced.
