 If you're seeing a show…

At the Delacorte Theater for Shakespeare in the Park

$ Pack a picnic blanket and head to Upper West Side staple, Barneys Greengrass, a New York tradition for over 100 years. This well-known deli serves your favorite Jewish goods like sturgeon and lox bagels wrapped up in crisp paper with a side of homemade pickles. Next swing by nearby Levain for their world-famous cookies and with a picnic made for a king (and queen), stroll over to Central Park and enjoy your meal under the shade of a tree. As the sun sets, order a couple of frozen cocktails at the Delacorte's bar and enjoy the outdoor show.

It's not time to go home yet…

If Shakespeare has you jazzed and you're not yet ready to call it a night, make your way to Smoke Jazz Club, where you can catch some of New York City's finest musicians late into the night.

 On Broadway

$ Slurp up some of the city's best authentic ramen at Totto Ramen. Make sure to arrive early as there's always a wait and beware, it's hot and cramped in there, just like the real noodle bars of Tokyo. Wash it all down with a cold, crisp Asahi.

$$ Take a seat at the marble bar and enjoy the best brick oven pizza available in Hell's Kitchen at B-Side Pizza. With an affordable wine list and appetizers worth staying longer for. Go to dish: the zuchinni noodle salad with fresh mint and pistachios.

It's not time to go home yet…

The show must go on, right? Just a few blocks south of the theatre district lies Korea Town, home to a treasure trove of karaoke venues just waiting for you to grace them with your finest Broadway ballads.

At New York City Center

$ Aaron Lazaar became addicted to Glaze during rehearsals for A New Brain as part of the Encores! Off-Center serires at New York City Center and named it one of his "musts" for a Staycation. Its' cheap, Asian-inspired eats done expertly in a relaxed, chic setting.

$$$ If your budget can allow it, treat both you and your honey to a fine steak at Quality Meats. Wine and dine amongst Manhattan's best-dressed in this upmarket, ever-popular restaurant.

It's not time to go home yet…

Broadway's supper club, 54 Below, often presents concerts and cabaret shows deep into the night. The later the show, the rowdier the crowd. When it's all over, follow the bar staff to the (in)famous Ritz for a late night boogie.

At The Public Theater

$ Your dollar will go a long way at hole-in-the-wall taqueria Dorado, which specializes in fish tacos. Why not sample them all: Baja fried, grilled mahi mahi, tuna or salmon? But leave room for a side of grilled corn with queso, lime and aioli, and you won't want to miss the house guacamole. Stay refreshed with a glass of house sangria.

$$ Sip on a glass of prosecco and indulge in a prosciutto and bread board on the terrace at Il Buco Alimentari. Their home-made pastas are to die for.

It's not time to go home yet…

Take a stroll down to the Great Jones Café; order a margarita and drop a few pennies into Manhattan's oldest jukebox.

At the Brooklyn Academy of Music or TFNA

$$ Just a few blocks away from both of these wonderful theatres are the picturesque, tree-lined streets of Boerum Hill. Nestled amongst the brown-stones is a gem of a restaurant called Rucola. Simple, delicious Italian fare makes it a favorite among locals, so be sure to book ahead.

It's not time to go home yet…

Head on down to Lobo for a post-show cocktail, the Brooklyn watering hole where Hand to God playwright Robert Askins still tends bar. Take a look through our photo gallery where Playbill.com let loose with the cast in the bar.

At the Atlantic Theatre

$ Enjoy summer's late sunsets by grabbing a selection of gourmet treats at nearby Chelsea markets and sharing an outdoor meal on the High Line. Tucked up above amongst the tourists and locals, you'll forget all about the hustle and bustle of Manhattan below.
