Lorna Luft and Tony Award winner Aaron Tveit will offer concerts at Manhattan's 54 Below on New Year's Eve.
Luft, who made her Broadway debut in Promises, Promises, plays the intimate cabaret at 7 PM. Then Tveit, a Tony winner for creating the role of Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, performs at 11 PM.
For the past several years, Luft has been starring in American and British productions of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Her other theatrical credits include Off-Broadway’s Snoopy and Extremities; the national tour of They’re Playing Our Song; a British tour of Pack of Lies; and productions of Gypsy, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Mame, and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Her screen credits include Grease 2; Where the Boys Are ‘84; Murder, She Wrote; and Sean Saves the World.
Tveit has also been seen on Broadway in Hairspray, Wicked, Next to Normal, and Catch Me If You Can, while his screen credits include Schmigadoon, Gossip Girl, and Grease: Live. He will soon return to Broadway, opposite Tony winner Sutton Foster, in the hit revival of Sweeney Todd.
