The cast of Bat Out of Hell – The Musical took the words out of everyone's mouth with their rock-and-roll red carpet. The Jim Steinman show, based on the Meat Loaf album of the same name, began its West End return engagement at the Peacock Theatre February 17 for a limited run through April 1. 

Glenn Adamson has returned as Strat, immortal leader of The Lost, opposite Kellie Gnauck as Raven, daughter of the tyrannical Falco; the two fall in love in the jukebox musical, a story about the rebelliousness that can come with youth and passion. 

They are joined by Rob Fowler as Falco, Sharon Sexton, Jayme-Lee Zanoncelli, James Chisholm, Matteo Johnson, Katie Tonkinson, Danny Whelan, Jay Anderson, Alex Bowen, Georgia Bradshaw, Amara Campbell, Eirik Dahlen, Alexandra Doar, Luke Hall, James Lowrie, Rory Maguire, Catherine Saunders, Luke Street, Craig Watson, and Beth Woodcock.

Hits like "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)," "Bat Out of Hell," "I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)," and "Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad" are featured in the show, along with two previously unreleased songs, "What Part of My Body Hurts the Most" and "Not Allowed to Love."

Bat Out of Hell features a book, music, and lyrics by Steinman, direction by Jay Scheib, choreography adapted by Xena Gusthart, with musical supervision and additional arrangements by Michael Reed, set and costume design by Jon Bausor, original costume designs by Meentje Nielsen, original wig designs by Linda McKnight, video design by Finn Ross, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, fight direction by Stuart Boother, musical direction by Iestyn Griffiths, additional book material by Stuart Beattie, and orchestration by Steve Sidwell. Original casting is by David Grindrod, and U.K. tour casting is by Anne Vosser.

The show previously played limited runs at Manchester Opera House, London Coliseum, and London’s Dominion Theatre, and also made its New York premiere Off-Broadway at New York City Center in 2019. It is produced by David Sonenberg, Michael Cohl, and Tony Smith, with executive producers Julian Stoneman and Lisa Jackson.
