International News The Play That Goes Wrong Original Cast Members Rob Falconer, Dave Hearn, Henry Lewis, and More to Reunite For U.K. Tour

The Tony Award-winning show will reunite its original cast for tour stops at Opera House Manchester and Theatre Royal Newcastle.

The Play That Goes Wrong original cast members Rob FalconerDave Hearn, Henry Lewis, and more are reprising their roles during the U.K. tour at Opera House Manchester from May 30–June 4 and Theatre Royal Newcastle from June 6–11.

Reuniting from their 2012 run, Falconer will play Trevor, Hearn will play Max, Lewis will play Robert, Charlie Russell will play Sandra, Jonathan Sayer will play Dennis, Henry Shields will play Chris, Greg Tannahill will play Jonathan, and Nancy Zamit will play Annie. 

The original cast will not perform all dates; Russell performs Monday, Friday, and Saturday evening performances; Shields will not perform on June 9 at 2 PM; and Zamit will not perform June 3 at 7:30 PM.

"We’re so excited to be going back into The Play That Goes Wrong," says Sayer. "It’s such a special show for us all and we really can’t wait to perform again and make people laugh in two amazing cities!"

The work's current U.K. tour is running through August 21. Separate productions are also playing at West End's Duchess Theatre (where's been since 2014) and Off-Broadway's New World Stages. The show's North American tour is currently playing in Chicago through May 29.

The Tony Award-winning play is co-written by Lewis, Sayer, and Shields. The production is directed by Mark Bell with set designs by Nigel Hook, costumes by Roberto Surace, lighting by Ric Mountjoy, original music by Falconer, and sound design by Andy Johnson. It is produced by Kenny Wax Ltd and Stage Presence Ltd.
