McArdle will take the stage at Feinstein's/54 Below in her show Andrea McArdle & Friends Celebrate the 45th ANNIEversary May 6 and 7.

Those who have performed at Feinstein's/54 Below know the ride from the 10th floor green room to the basement stage can take a while.

How to make good use of that time? Playbill invited Broadway's Andrea McArdle to answer some questions ahead of her Feinstein's/54 Below show, and end the interview with a song for our original series Elevator Pitch.

McArdle, who created the title role in Annie on Broadway in 1977, marks the anniversary of the original production with the concert Andrea McArdle & Friends Celebrate the 45th ANNIEversary at Feinstein’s/54 Below May 6 and 7 at 7 PM. The concert will feature songs, stories, and special guests from the original cast and beyond, including Shelley Bruce and Donna Graham, under the music direction of Steve Marzullo.

McArdle became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for a Tony Award as Best Lead Actress in a Musical, and went on to perform the role in London’s West End. On Broadway, she has starred in Jerry’s Girls, Starlight Express, State Fair, Les Misérables, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
