Second Stage Theater’s revival of Dying City is set to begin performances Off-Broadway May 14 ahead of June 3 opening. The production, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell, is scheduled to run through June 30.
Set in a sparse Manhattan apartment, Dying City explores the human fallout of global events, including the Iraq War and 9/11. In Christopher Shinn's 2008 Pulitzer Prize finalist—first seen at London's Royal Court in 2006—a young widow receives an unexpected visit from the twin brother of her deceased husband.

Surrounded by period-accurate, 19th-century holiday decorations lit via candlelight, the 70-minute production is based on Dickens' own script of the classic.
