Connecticut's A Contemporary Theatre (ACT) has announced the cast that will launch its 2022-23 season with a production of Guys and Dolls. Previews will begin October 27 prior to an official opening October 29 for a limited engagement through November 20.

Starring in the production will be Matt Faucher (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as Sky Masterson, Katherine Riddle (She Loves Me) as Sarah Brown, Phil Sloves (Spongebob Squarepants) as Nathan Detroit, and Donna Vivino (Wicked) as Miss Adelaide.

Rounding out the cast will be Michael Boland, Izzy Figueroa, Jeff Gurner, Victor Hernandez, Luis Herrera, Rebecca Hoodwin, Michael McGuirk, Val Moranto, Parker Aimone, Michelle Arotsky, Les Gibbs, Jasmine Gobourne, Alex Hartman, Marlena López Hilderley, Jorie Janeway, Georgia Monroe, Cody Ray, Michael Santomassimo, John Viso, and Richard Westfahl.

Grammy nominee Daniel C. Levine, artistic director of the regional theatre, will direct the classic musical that follows two unlikely romances in New York City.

"Guys and Dolls is one of my all-time favorite musicals," said Levine in a statement. "We have not yet produced a ‘classical musical’ in any of our seasons at ACT of CT, and what better time to do so now as we enter our fifth glorious season.”

The creative team will also include choreographer Sara Brians, music director Jeffrey Campos, Grammy-nominated music supervisor Bryan Perri, scenic designer Jack Mehler, costume coordinator Claudia Stefany, lighting designer Chris Chambers, and sound designer Don Hanna.

Inspired by Damon Runyon's short stories, the musical features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book penned by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Songs include "Luck Be a Lady," "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat," and “I’ve Never Been In Love Before.” Guys and Dolls made its Broadway debut November 24, 1950, won the Tony Award for Best Musical, and ran for over three years.
