Critics reviews are coming out for the world premiere of Elyria which opened February 27 at Atlantic Theater Company. Written by Deepa Purohit, the work plays a limited run through March 19. Previews began February 10.

Two women crash into each other in 1982 in Elyria, Ohio. It's been twenty years since they struck a deal, and now they must face their past—and their entwined future.

The cast stars Nilanjana Bose (Tamburlaine the Great), Sanjit De Silva (War Horse), Gulshan Mia (Acquittal), and Bhavesh Patel (The Nap). Making their Off-Broadway debuts are Sanskar Agarwal, Mohit Gautam, Mahima Saigal, Avanthika Srinivasan, and Omar Shafiuzzaman.

Awoye Timpo (Wedding Band, The Homecoming Queen) directs the production which features choreography by Parijat Desai, scenic design by Jason Ardizzone-West, costume design by Sarita Fellows, lighting design by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, sound design by Amatus Karim Ali, and projections by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew. Casting is by The Telsey Office, Will Cantler, Karyn Casl, and Destiny Lily. Kat Meister serves as production stage manager.
