The scantily clad cabaret duo known as The Skivvies, consisting of actor-musicians Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, will perform two concerts mixing pop music and showtunes with help from parade of special guests August 6 and 7 at 9:30 PM at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan.
The lingerie-clad duo told Playbill that audiences “can expect original brand new irreverent mashups” with special guests including Erik Altemus on a combination of Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach,” Beyoncé’s “Daddy Issues,” and Ragtime’s “Your Daddy’s Son.”
Krysta Rodriguez will perform a medley of songs about puppy dogs. Grace McLean will join them on a collection of songs that involve her digital looper.
The Skivvies will also perform their new mashup single, “Nothing Compares to the Shape of U.”
“It’s always a brand new show,” Cearley said. “We create the arrangements with and for each guest.”
