The Broadway favorites join this year's presentation of eight in-development musicals.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre's 34th Annual Festival of New Musicals has announced more Broadway alums joining the casts for this year's eight musical presentations. The NAMT event, which will run at New World Stages October 20-21, previously announced this year's presentations, directors, and music directors as well as initial casting.

Joining the roster of Broadway alums are Arica Jackson (Caroline, or Change), Darius Jordan Lee (Ain’t Too Proud), Shereen Pimentel (West Side Story), Herman Sebek (Miss Saigon), and Mariand Torres (Hadestown).

Rounding out casting for the festival are Tsebiyah Mishael Derry (SKiNFoLK: An American Show), Timothy Huang (Shanghai Lil's), Steven Huynh (Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas), Matilda Luz Concha Pearson (Runaways), Nacho Tambunting (Felix Starro), Max Wilcox (Gigantic), and Sumi Yu (Greater Clements), as well as Benjamin Camenzuli (As You Like It), Michel Castillo (Swimming While Drowning), Megan Masako Haley (Wicked National Tour), Asher Edgecliffe Johnson (ABC's For Life), Terran Scott, and Nick Bruno

Michael Cassara serves as casting director.

In addition to the eight musical receiving presentations, three new musicals in development which will be featured in NAMT's Songwriters Showcase this year. A Strange Loop's John-Andrew Morrison and James Jackson, Jr. will host the event.

The festival will also include Midday Cabaret sets in the Green Room Lounge during the lunch break, with Deborah Abramson, David Davila, Andrea Grody, and Rona Siddiqui comprising this year's featured songwriters.

Registration for industry members is free and now open at NAMT.org/festival. The public can also receive passes to the Festival through a direct donation to NAMT. Day-of standby tickets may be released depending on availability.
