Directed by Sarah Norris and written by Michelle Kholos Brooks, H*tler’s Tasters opens Off-Broadway at Theatre Row May 3 at 7 PM. The limited engagement began previews April 14 and is set to run until May 21.
The show is inspired by true events and follows a group of young women who work as Adolf Hitler’s food tasters. They grow closer as each meal presents the possibility of death. Throughout the show, the girls navigate sexuality, friendship, patriotism, and poison.
The production features an all-female-identifying company and creative team. The cast sees the return of Hallie Griffin as Liesel, MaryKathryn Kopp as Hilda, Kaitlin Paige Longoria as Anna, and Hannah Mae Sturges as Margot, all of whom starred in the show's previous runs in NYC, Edinburgh, Chicago, and LA.
Produced by Josh Gladstone and NewYorkRep, the work includes choreography by Ashlee Wasmund, scenic design by An-lin Dauber, costume design by Ashleigh Poteat, lighting design by Christina Tang, and sound design by Carsen Joenk.
