Off-Broadway theatre company Ars Nova has announced additional programming from its current Vision Residency class to run April 27-June 24. The resident artists include River L. Ramirez, LEGACY: a Black Queer Production Collective, and Machel Ross.
River L. Ramirez presents a trilogy of performances curated and hosted by the artist. In a showcase of their experimental and comedic style, Ramirez will present River L. Ramirez's Theories of God & Love April 28, Death & the Afterlife May 2, and Perversion & Depravity May 10.
LEGACY: a Black Queer Production collective will present multidisciplinary and variety work BBL: Black Beginning Live April 30. The group has also added two performances on WOMB! There it is, a journey of Black queer experience from the beginning of life to the end of it for June 23-24. The work features an original score in addition to combining video, movement, and poetry.
Lastly, Sitting in the Bullshit, written and performed by Hannah Kallenbach and Alexander Paris, will be presented May 13, added to the line-up by Machel Ross.

The performances will take place in-person and also be available online via Ars Nova Supra. The Vision Residency was created in 2020 to further more equitable and power-sharing curatorial practices. Artist-curators are invited to program Ars Nova's stages and digital platform with broad support from Ars Nova's staff.
