The London premiere of the Broadway musical Little Women, filmed at the Park Theatre in December 2021, makes its worldwide streaming debut on BroadwayHD April 21.
The capture features Ryan Bennett (Jersey Boys) as Professor Bhaer, Hana Ichijo as Meg, Sev Keoshgerian (Little Miss Sunshine: A Road Musical) as Laurie, Anastasia Martin (Legends) as Beth, Mary Moore (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) as Amy, Bernadine Pritchett (Phantom of the Opera) as Aunt March, Brian Protheroe (Othello) as Mr. Lawrence, Lejaun Sheppard (Tina) as John Brooke, Savannah Stevenson (Wicked) as Marmee, Lydia White (Chess) as Jo, and Liv Andrusier as a swing.
Adapted from the Louisa May Alcott classic following the adventures of the March sisters, Little Women features a book by Allan Knee, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and a score by Jason Howland.
Bronagh Lagan directed the London production with set and costume design by Nik Corrall, musical direction by Leo Munby, orchestrations by Andy Collyer, choreography by Sarah Golding, lighting design by Ben M. Rogers, sound design by Paul Gavin, and casting by Jane Deitch.
The capture, filmed live by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, was executive produced by Bonnie Comley, Stewart F. Lane, and Gio Messale for BroadwayHD.
Little Women was first seen on Broadway in 2005, starring Tony winner Sutton Foster, who was Tony-nominated for her performance as Jo. Across the pond, a 2018 production played at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.
The London Little Women was produced by Lipson for Aria Entertainment, Hope Mill Theatre, and Knockhardy Productions, in association with Park Theatre. It was co-produced by Comley and Lane and Katy Galloway Productions.
